Dogs of Society–The Ultimate Elton Rock Tribute presents a celebration of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’s iconic Tumbleweed Connection album ~ PLUS ~ a selection of your favorite Elton hits.
Released on October 30, 1970, Tumbleweed Connection is considered an Americana masterpiece with roots in the early days of country rock. Elton said of Tumbleweed, “Lyrically and melodically, that’s probably one of our most perfect albums.” Bernie shared about Tumbleweed’s lyrics, “We wrote and recorded the album before we’d even been to the States. It was totally influenced by The Band’s album, Music From Big Pink, and Robbie Robertson’s songs.”
The Dogs will be joined onstage by Percussionist Peter Hussey, Harpist Hannah Vanhooser and a three-piece horn section featuring Waylon Schroeder (Breakfast in America & Billy the Kid), Chris Jarden and Mike Alexander. Come hear these incredible Tumbleweed songs (and Elton’s best-loved hits) performed all live in the intimate, historic Wildey Theatre.
